Corona has had us firmly in its grip for more than a year. This not only affects our private lives, but also our working environment. The majority of our in-factory colleagues are now working from home, and our annual events such as the workshop, as well as the Christmas and family celebrations, have been impossible or only possible to a limited extent due to the coronavirus restrictions.
We recently introduced our new internal meeting rooms in Gather.Town to ensure that we don't miss out on team spirit and time together.
Gather.Town is a nice little video conferencing tool that allows us to virtually transport ourselves out of the home office and into our "natural" working environment. For this purpose, we have recreated our two offices in Tagelswangen and Böblingen and our customer premises in Frankfurt online (almost true to the original) and equipped them with everything we need:
In addition to the "classic" conference rooms, there are opportunities for concentrated work at your own desk (private space), coffee together in the kitchen, a short break on the roof terrace, team building with various games and much more. All of this, of course, with the use of video and audio, so that we can finally meet face-to-face again after a long time 🙂
We hope that our virtual office space in Gather.Town will help us not to lose sight of each other even in these difficult times and that the great collegial atmosphere that characterizes in-factory will continue to exist. In addition to regular sessions/trainings, our annual workshop will probably also take place in Gather.Town. And of course, our virtual offices will remain open to all colleagues in the meantime - so nothing stands in the way of working together (and having a coffee 😉 ) and we can bring a little more normality and a sense of community back into our everyday working lives.
