Our sustainability strategy at in-factory

Back to overview

For us at in-factory, sustainability is more than just ecology.

It also means using resources responsibly and respecting human rights, including equality for all employees. Our sustainability working group, consisting of volunteers, deals intensively with applicable laws and standards and has formulated a constantly evolving sustainability strategy based on the principles of DIN ISO 26000 and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (NAP). Annual surveys among our employees deepen our understanding of sustainability and we rely on further training measures, internal workshops and the use of environmentally friendly means of transport to continuously improve our knowledge and actions in this area. Our motto: The constant further development and adaptation of our approach to currently important topics are our priority.

Actions for a sustainable future

As part of our sustainability initiative, we have launched various campaigns that bring us all closer to a sustainable future:

Mobility: We have started to use electric vehicles in our fleet in order to reduce CO2 emissions and make an active contribution to climate protection. We have also charging points for electric vehicles at our office locations in Tagelswangen (CH) and Böblingen (DE) to offer our employees a convenient and sustainable way to recharge their batteries directly at the workplace. To encourage the use of public transport, we offer our employees the opportunity to use a Bahncard. We also provide our employees with the JobRad offer available to our employees. This enables them to lease a company bike and use it not only for commuting to work, but also for private use.

Sustainability survey: Regular surveys on the topic of sustainability raise awareness of sustainable action and impart knowledge. Employees can actively contribute their opinions and ideas in order to continuously improve our commitment.

Community garden: We are part of a sustainability project run by a youth association in which we grow fruit and vegetables together. This not only makes our lives more sustainable, but also strengthens the community within the team.

Reduction of paper consumption: Our processes and documentation are mapped digitally as far as possible in order to reduce paper consumption and conserve resources.

Use of recycled paper: Should the need for printing arise, we have switched our office materials to recycled paper.

Sustainable events: We pay attention to the organization of corporate events to find and implement solutions that are as sustainable as possible. This includes choosing sustainable venues, considering environmentally friendly transportation options and carpooling.

Vegetarian working week: We regularly organize a vegetarian working week. vegetarian working week on a voluntary basis to raise awareness of sustainability and healthy eating within the team. During this week, all participants eat exclusively vegetarian, regional and seasonal dishes.

Girls' Day: We regularly take part in the Girls' Dayto get girls and women interested in technical professions and give them the opportunity to gain their first experience in this field.

Appreciation Day: Every year we celebrate our in-factory Appreciation Dayto express our appreciation and gratitude to each other.

Employee events: Every year, we organize summer and winter events to which not only employees but also their families and partners are cordially invited. These events strengthen team spirit, promote cohesion and create unforgettable shared experiences.

Company workshops twice a year: Twice a year we organize company workshopswhere all employees come together to discuss current developments and strategic goals. We also discuss our sustainability strategy and exchange ideas and suggestions for further sustainable measures.

Employee sports: We also integrate sporting activities into our company workshops to promote exercise and health. We also regularly organize running events and take part in events such as the J. P. Morgan run run. We also support the health and well-being of our employees by offering subsidized Wellpass memberships. This gives them access to a wide range of health and sports activities to promote their physical and mental fitness.

Optimized onboarding and buddy processes: We attach great importance to ensuring that new employees feel welcome and well received right from the start. Our onboarding process is carefully designed and also includes the assignment of buddies to make it easier to join the team.

Flexible working time models: Our employees have the option, flexible working time models that allow them to adapt their working hours to their personal needs. In this way, we promote a healthy work-life balance and create a positive working atmosphere.

Trusted employees: Our trusted employees are an important part of our corporate culture. In this way, we promote a climate of trust and cooperation.

Strategy project: In order to involve the workforce in shaping our company, employees are involved in strategy planning and its implementation as part of a strategy project. This leads to more transparency and greater employee satisfaction.

These are just a few examples of our commitment to sustainability. We continuously evaluate our measures and develop them further in order to achieve the maximum positive effect on the environment and society.
